9th Annual 5x5x5 Show

The 9th Annual 5x5x5 Show is River Oaks Arts Center's signature miniature art exhibition, now in its ninth year. The show highlights original works from visual artists across the United States, with both 2D and 3D works accepted in all media. Guest Juror for the 2024 exhibition is artist and educator Ted Barnes. The exhibition runs from November 14, 2024 through February 3, 2025, with an opening reception and awards presentation on November 14, 2024.

Work specifications: Image size should be no larger than 5x5 inches or 25 square inches. Three-dimensional work should stay within 5"h x 5"w x 5"d. Original works only; no prints or reproductions (etchings and woodcuts accepted). Open to all media. When matting, use off-white or white color only. Framing should suit the piece and be ready to hang. Applicants may submit 1-3 entries maximum, with one image per entry. Entry fee is $15 per artist. All works must be for sale; River Oaks receives a 30% commission on sold works. The price entered in the submission system will be the exhibition price and cannot be changed. Eligibility is open to any visual artist currently living or working in the United States; entered work must have been completed within the past year.

Awards: Best in Show $500, Beck Crowell Creative Award $100, two Merit Awards $100 each, and Honorable Mention. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance costs to and from the Art Center. Accepted artwork must be delivered by 5 pm Friday, November 1. Unsold works will be returned by March 15, 2025. River Oaks reserves the right to photograph exhibited work and utilize digital images for reproduction in printed and electronic materials for publicity.
