About This Call

Established in 1922, the Annual All-Media Exhibition at the Ann Arbor Art Center has a long and rich history. Submissions are accepted in any media. This juried competition is open to all artists who live in the Great Lakes region. Artists living in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota are invited to submit.

Artists may submit up to three images as jpeg files per entry. Artworks should have been created within the past three years and not previously shown in any Ann Arbor Art Center exhibitions. The jurying process is anonymous; however, artists must submit a CV and bio as separate documents in .doc or .pdf format, labeled as Lastname_firstname_CV and Lastname_firstname_Bio. Entry fee is $35.00. Submission fees are non-refundable, and submission does not guarantee artwork acceptance. Accepted artworks must arrive "ready to hang." For shipped artworks, artists are responsible for shipping costs and insurance and are encouraged to use plexi glass over traditional glass.

Awards include Best of Show ($500), Second Place ($200), Third Place ($100), and two Honorable Mentions. Artists will be notified of juror selections on November 28. Artwork drop-off deadline is December 11. The opening party and announcement of winners is Friday, December 15, 6-9pm. The exhibition closes Saturday, January 13 at 6pm. Work pick-up is Sunday-Tuesday, January 14-18, 2018. This year's juror is Alison Wong, an artist and director at Wasserman Projects in Detroit's Eastern Market.
