About This Call
All current artist members in good standing are eligible to submit. The $90 application fee includes $45 membership dues and $45 application fee. Eligible media includes painting, watercolor, pastel, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, photography, and textiles. Submit one or two different works of art; only one work may be selected by the juror. All accepted and delivered artwork must be the same image as that selected by the juror with no substitutions. All works must be for sale and must have been completed in the last three years. Work must be the artist's original design and creation. Work created from photo images or reference photos must be created from the artist's own photographs, not from any other source, AI-generated, or copyrighted material. No work previously shown in any Marion County competitive juried exhibition will be accepted.
Two- and three-dimensional original works are eligible. Artwork with frame is limited to 42 x 36 inches in any direction. Gallery wrapped canvases and cradle panels must be framed. Work over 24 x 36 inches or in metal frames must be framed with acrylic. Pastels may be framed with glass but must be in wood frames, not metal. Stretched canvases must be protected on the back with a rigid covering. All work must be ready to hang upon delivery. A maximum of three three-dimensional sculptural works may be included: two works with size limitation of 24" H x 18" W x 18" D, and one work with size limitation of 24" H x 12" W x 12" D. Three-dimensional artwork must be self-stable or stable with artist-provided mounts requiring IMA approval. Sculptural work on pedestals cannot exceed 100 lbs. Wall-hanging sculptures must weigh less than 40 lbs and not extend more than 4 inches from the wall.
Submit original high-quality JPEG image files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background. Ensure images are oriented correctly. Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted by the entry deadline of January 24, 2025. Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. An entrant agrees to pay a $100 penalty for non-delivery of an accepted piece. For questions about the exhibition, contact Pam Newell or Laurie Wright.
