92nd Annual Toledo Area Artists Exhibition

The Toledo Federation of Art Societies in conjunction with the Toledo Museum of Art invites area artists to enter the 92nd annual Toledo Area Artists exhibition. Works selected will be exhibited at the Toledo Museum of Art from July 9 – August 22, 2010.

Eligibility: Original artwork in any media (excluding performance art) created from 2006–2010 and not previously shown in Toledo Area Artists exhibitions. Past and present residents of Allen, Defiance, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Paulding, Putnam, Sandusky, Seneca, Van Wert, Williams, Wood, and Wyandot counties in Ohio, and Lenawee and Monroe counties in Michigan are eligible. Works consisting of perishable materials, living organisms, liquids, materials covered by the Endangered Species Act, feathers, or deteriorating/insect infested or untreated wood will not be admitted. A maximum of three original works may be entered for a $30 entry fee. Artwork must be submitted online via www.callforentry.org with digital images following website guidelines. Online entry deadline is April 16, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.

Accepted entries must be delivered to the TMA Grove Place Service Entrance on June 11-12, 2010 between 1-4 p.m. (shipped works must arrive by June 11 at 4 p.m.). Two-dimensional works may be no larger than 4'x4'; three-dimensional works must fit in a 2'x2'x2' box. Works on paper (except pastels) must be framed under Plexi; pastels may be framed under glass; paintings must be framed. A 5"x7", 300 dpi photo suitable for publication must be provided with all accepted entries. The exhibition will be juried by Kathryn Reeves (artist and Professor of Art at Purdue University) and Heather Pesanti (Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art at the Carnegie). Jury notifications will be emailed May 18, 2010. Awards ceremony and opening reception are July 9, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. Artwork pick-up is August 27-28, 2010 between 1-4 p.m. Artists may offer work for sale with a 30% commission charged on sales. No commission is charged on Purchase Awards. All work not picked up by September 17, 2010 will be confiscated for disposal. No entries will be insured against loss or damage.
