91st Annual Toledo Area Artists Exhibition

The Toledo Federation of Art Societies in conjunction with the Toledo Museum of Art invites area artists to enter the 91st annual Toledo Area Artists exhibition. Works selected will be on exhibit at the Toledo Museum of Art from July 10 to August 23, 2009. The exhibition will be juried by artist Ruth B. Bercaw of Cleveland, Ohio, and a second juror to be announced.

Eligibility is open to past and present residents of Allen, Defiance, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Paulding, Putnam, Sandusky, Seneca, Van Wert, Williams, Wood, and Wyandot counties in Ohio, and Lenawee and Monroe counties in Michigan. Original artwork in any media (excluding performance art) created from 2006–2009 and not previously shown in Toledo Area Artists exhibitions may be entered. Works consisting in whole or in part of perishable materials, living organisms, liquids, materials covered by the Endangered Species Act, feathers of any kind, or deteriorating/insect infested or untreated wood will not be admitted. A maximum of three original works may be entered for $30. Entry is online only via www.callforentry.org with digital images submitted following website guidelines. The online entry deadline is April 24, 2009, at midnight MST.

Accepted artwork must be dropped off at TMA Grove Place Service Entrance on June 5 & 6, 2009, between 1–4 pm (shipped works must arrive by June 6 at 4 pm). The Awards Ceremony and Opening Reception is July 10, 2009, at 7:30 pm. All media are eligible for prizes. Artists may offer work for sale with a 30% commission charged on sales. All unsold work must be picked up on August 28 & 29, 2009, between 1–4 pm. Artists failing to pick up entries at the stated time will be subject to a $25 fine. No entries will be insured against loss or damage while in the Museum or during transit.
