8th International Open Call: A Juried International Photography Exhibition

The Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts invites artists to submit work for the 8th International Open Call, a juried exhibition of contemporary photography. Artists of all levels who are at least 18 years old are eligible to enter. The exhibition will run from April 21 through May 13, 2022, at RICPA's gallery located at 118 N. Main Street, Providence, RI.

Work must be original creations in any form of photographic image-making, including any process or technology, current or historical. Artists may submit up to 10 photographs. The entry fee is $45 for the first three images and $10 for each additional image. Current RICPA members receive a 20% discount on entry fees. Work must be exhibition-ready with a maximum size of 48 inches including the frame. Accepted work must be delivered in-person by April 16th (noon to 5:30 p.m.) or shipped to arrive by April 16th with a prepaid return label.

The exhibition will be juried by Jessica Roscio, Director and Curator of the Danforth Art Museum at Framingham State University. Awards include First Place ($250), Second Place ($150), and Third Place ($100). A reception and awards ceremony will be held on April 21st from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. RICPA retains a 40% commission on works sold (20% for Supporting & Exhibiting members). Artists retain all copyright to their images and grant RICPA the right to use images for marketing and online reproduction with artist recognition provided.
