8th Annual PROUD+ 2025

The 8th Annual PROUD+ Exhibition will be held July 3 - August 2, 2025, during San Diego Pride Month, showcasing the work of LGBTQ+ artists from across the country. Produced by The Studio Door, this national exhibition celebrates the unique perspectives and voices of the LGBTQ+ community through contemporary art. For nearly a decade, PROUD+ has provided a vital platform for LGBTQ+ artists to express their creativity, identity, and lived experiences. Artists are invited to submit works that reflect their own interpretations of pride, resilience, and community.

Entry deadline is May 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fee is $35.00, with an additional $5.00 media fee for each 2nd and 3rd artwork entry. Artists may submit 1-3 images. The juror will select works for both the physical gallery exhibition and an online gallery. All accepted works are eligible for Best in Show awards: three artists will receive a Juror's Award certificate and $100 check each. A public reception is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2025, 6 PM - 9 PM. The gallery will also have extended hours on July 3, 2025, for the First Thursday Walk in ART.

2-D artwork must arrive gallery ready and ready to hang, preferably in black wood or natural wood frames. Due to shipping challenges, 2-D artwork cannot be framed in glass—plexi only. Glass and ceramic pieces will only be accepted if hand-delivered and picked up by the artist. Shipped artwork must be received by Friday, June 27, 2025. Hand-delivery is available Saturday, June 28, 2025 (11 AM – 5 PM) or by appointment. Artwork may be picked up Saturday, August 2, 2025 (4 - 5 PM) or Tuesday, August 5, 2025 (11 AM - 5 PM). For sales, 50% goes to the artist and 50% to The Studio Door. Items sold must remain on exhibit for the duration of the show. Artists will be notified of selection by June 4, 2025. All artwork selected will be included in the PROUD+ 2025 national exhibition catalog.
