8th Annual Georgia Color Plein Air Competition

The 8th Annual Georgia Color Plein Air returns to the Georgia coast in Savannah. Established in 1733, the city's public squares, rich architectural features, moss-draped trees, and hospitality make it the perfect setting to paint en plein air.

Open to Georgia artists only. Work submitted may be plein air or studio, any subject matter, not older than two years, with no size restrictions. Submit 3 images of your work with a $40 entry fee. Up to 32 slots are available. Participants will be selected by a juried process and notified by May 11, 2026.

The show runs October 13–18, 2026. On-site participation through the entire run is required. A panel of three judges will evaluate competition paintings submitted during the show. All paintings must be for sale and priced in accordance with minimum pricing established by the show. Images must be submitted as high-quality JPEG files, at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge, no larger than 30 MB, with only the artwork visible (no matting, frames, or background). Entry fees are non-refundable and must be submitted by April 15, 2026. Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline.
