8th Annual Best of America Small Works National Juried Exhibition

The Best of America Small Works National Juried Exhibition is a juried competition open to current members of NOAPS (National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society). Members must be 18 years of age or older residing in the United States, Canada, Mexico, or other international locations (with consideration for shipping and custom fees).

Eligible artwork must be original two-dimensional paintings in oil and/or acrylic, completed within the last three years. Maximum artwork size (excluding frame) is 320 square inches. Artwork must be created entirely by the artist's own hand using original conception and execution. Artists may use their own photographs as reference materials but not photos from other sources. No mixed media, painted giclee prints, painted-over photographs, digital reproductions, artwork copied from other artists or published photos, artwork created in instructional settings, or artwork created with artificial intelligence is permitted. Artwork must not have been previously accepted in any other NOAPS exhibit.

Entry fees are $35 for the first image and $10 for each additional image, with a maximum of 5 images per artist ($75 maximum). Only one application per artist is permitted, and a maximum of one painting per accepted artist will be chosen for the show. Digital files must be submitted in JPEG format with images at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge and no larger than 30 MB. Images should be cropped to show only the artwork with no frame, matting, or background visible, and must be oriented correctly. Selected paintings will be showcased on NOAPS.org, in the NOAPS Blog, and on NOAPS Social Media. Acceptance into this exhibition counts for 1 point toward Signature Status (6 points total over 5 years required).
