8th Annual Artspace111 Texas Juried Exhibition

Artspace111 announces an open call for submissions for the 8th Annual Texas Juried Exhibition, juried by Caleb Bell, Curator at the Tyler Museum of Art. The competition is open to artists 18 years and older residing in Texas and accepts both 2D and 3D contemporary artwork. Entry fee is $35 for one image, with additional entries at $5.00 each (limit 6 images). A $5.00 media fee per submission will be donated to the Tarrant Area Food Bank.

Eligible 2D work includes painting, prints, drawings, photography, and digital images, with a maximum framed size of 48" wide or 96" high. 3D work may be indoor or outdoor; wall-hanging work cannot exceed 48" wide, free-standing indoor work cannot exceed 6 feet in any dimension. All work must be original, produced within the last two years, and not previously shown at Artspace111. The digital image submitted must match the physical piece delivered if selected.

The exhibition runs July 10 through August 28, 2021, with an opening reception on July 17, 2021. Selected artists will be notified approximately June 11, 2021. Cash prizes totaling $5,000 will be awarded, including Best In Show ($2,000) and special jury awards. The Best In Show winner receives an opportunity to exhibit at Artspace111 in a separate solo or group exhibition in 2021-2022. All entrants have the option to participate in the Texas Now Online Showcase, where artwork can be purchased online; artists receive 70% of proceeds from online sales. Work displayed at the gallery is subject to a 50% commission on sales. Work will be insured at Artspace111 but not in transit. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from the gallery.
