8th Annual ArtSEE

The Abstract Art Collective (AAC) is seeking submissions for the 8th Annual ArtSEE exhibition and fundraiser at the Faulker Gallery in Santa Barbara. The exhibition will include both a juried show and a group of 10x10 inch panels donated by AAC artists to benefit SEE International. Only pieces for the juried show should be submitted using CaFE; donated 10x10 panels should not be submitted through CaFE.

Juried Show: Exhibition dates are September 1-30, 2022, with simultaneous online display on the AAC website. Online submission dates are August 1-22, 2022, 10:00 PM PST. Artist notification is August 25, 2022. Ingathering is August 31 from 2:00-5:00 PM, and the reception is September 1 from 5:00-8:00 PM. Takedown is September 30. The venue is Faulker Gallery, Santa Barbara Library, 40 E Anapamu St., Santa Barbara, CA 93101. Juried entries are limited to 3 pieces per artist at $15 for the first piece and $10 each for the second and third pieces. The juror is Judy Larson, PhD, Director of the Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum of Art and R. Anthony Askew Professor of Art History at Westmont College. You must be a current AAC member with current membership dues to participate.

Submission Requirements: Hanging work must be no more than 4 feet wide with frame and no more than 6 inches deep. No freestanding sculpture. Submit clear images of artwork with no frame or background, cropped to the edges. Images must be JPEG or JPG only, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5 MB, and sRGB color profile. Paintings must be back-wired with standard multi-strand picture wire. No giclèe copies of original paintings; inkjet prints of digitally created work, hand-pulled prints, and photography are accepted. No unframed lightweight canvases less than 1-3/8" in depth or sawtooth hangers. AAC will process all sales and deduct a 10% fee from each sale.

10x10 Panels: AAC member artists can pick up panels from Art Essentials (32 E Victoria Street, Santa Barbara), with a limit of 3 panels per artist. Completed panels must be brought to ingathering on August 31, 2:00-5:00 PM, back-wired and clearly labeled with name, medium, and title. Panels will be displayed at Faulker Gallery and on the SEE website. SEE International handles all panel sales, with 100% of proceeds going to SEE International.
