8th Annual 5x5x5 Show

The 8th Annual 5x5x5 Show is River Oaks Arts Center's signature miniature art exhibition, open to all visual artists currently living and working in the United States. The show features both 2D and 3D works in all media, with work completed within the past year. Guest Juror for 2023 is Tom Richard, a Professor of Art at the University of Arkansas at Monticello whose mixed media practice addresses issues of history, reflection, and the present.

Work specifications: Images should be no larger than 5x5 inches or 25 square inches. Three-dimensional work should stay within 5"h x 5"w x 5"d. Original works only (no prints/reproductions, though etchings and woodcuts are accepted). When matted, mats should be off-white or white; framing should suit the piece and be ready to hang. Applicants may submit 1-3 pieces maximum, with one image per entry. Entry fee is $15. All accepted works must be for sale, with River Oaks receiving a 30% commission. Prices entered in the submission system will be the exhibition prices and cannot be changed.

Awards include Best in Show ($500), Beck Crowell Creative Award ($100), two Merit Awards ($100 each), and Honorable Mention. Exhibition dates are November 9, 2023 through February 3, 2024, with an opening reception and awards presentation on November 9. Jury acceptance notification is October 24. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance costs; accepted work must be delivered by 5 p.m. Friday, November 4. Unsold works will be returned on March 24.
