81st Annual Awards Exhibition

The National Sculpture Society's 81st Annual Awards Exhibition is open to NSS Fellows, Elected Sculptor Members, and Associates whose dues are paid in full. All entries are subject to jury review. Works previously exhibited in an Annual NSS Exhibition are ineligible. All work will be juried anonymously from high quality images.

Works must have been created within the last 5 years and may be in any permanent medium, including terracotta and plaster (with artists assuming responsibility for packaging and shipping). Works of all sizes will be considered, including reliefs and medals. Sculptors may submit up to 3 works (up to 3 views per work) for a maximum of 9 images. The entry fee is $25 (non-refundable). Required submissions include the artist's name, address, title of sculpture, date, medium, dimensions, price (if for sale), CV/resume/bio, and artist statement.

A Jury of Selection will review works for inclusion, and a Jury of Awards will convene after the exhibition is installed at Brookgreen Gardens. Accepted sculptors will be notified by email and asked to sign a brief contract loaning their work for the exhibition duration. A closing reception will be held at Brookgreen Gardens on Saturday, November 1st. All works must be shipped at the sculptor's expense to a secure South Carolina warehouse address (provided in acceptance letters). Sculptors are responsible for all shipping costs and optional insurance. Works do not have to be for sale; retail prices for works available for sale will be established in the artist contract and are not subject to change. A commission will be charged on all sales, with a 10% courtesy discount given to NSS Patron Members.
