About This Call
The 7th Stockton Art League Regional Juried Exhibition is an open regional juried exhibition featuring over $1,000 in cash awards and additional awards of distinction. The exhibition will be held at the Elsie May Goodwin Gallery from November 8 - December 19, 2025. The gallery, home of the Stockton Art League, is located in Stockton's historic Miracle Mile and offers 2,400 square feet of gallery space. The exhibition is open to artists residing in San Joaquin County and its neighboring counties: Sacramento, Amador, Calaveras, Stanislaus, Contra Costa, and Alameda.
Accepted media includes 2D works (acrylic, oil, watercolor, gouache, painting, drawing, pastels, encaustic, charcoal, pen, printmaking, scratchboard, fiber art, and other non-traditional materials), 3D works (sculpture, ceramics, constructions, assemblages, suspended forms, and soft sculpture), photography (analog and digital), and mixed media. Digital art created by the artist using programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or Procreate is accepted; however, AI-generated artwork will not be accepted. Video and installation art cannot be accommodated. Artwork must be original and completed within the last three years. Size restrictions apply: artwork should be no larger than 40 inches in any direction including the frame; sculptures are limited to 36 inches wide and 82 inches tall and should not exceed 100 lbs. including the base.
Entry fee is $25 for 3 pieces, with $5 for each additional work up to 5 total. Submissions must include 3-5 images (1920 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5MB, JPG/JPEG format, 72-300 PPI, sRGB color space). The entry deadline is October 15, 2025 at 10:59 PM PST. Accepted pieces will be announced October 21, 2025. Hand delivery of accepted work is required October 30 - November 1, 2025, 12:00-4:00 PM each day. The awards reception is Saturday, November 8, 4-6 PM. Work pickup is December 19-20, 12:00-4:00 PM each day. The juror is Jan Marlese, Gallery Director at LH Horton Jr Gallery (San Joaquin Delta College). All sales will be processed through the Stockton Art League with a 30% commission retained by the gallery. Insurance is the sole responsibility of the artist.
