7th Open Call: A Juried International Photography Exhibition

The Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts invites artists to submit work for the 7th Open Call, a juried international photography exhibition. This open call welcomes contemporary voices in photography from artists of all levels who are at least 18 years old. Work is open to all forms of photographic image-making in any process or technology, current or historical. All work must be original creations and exhibition ready, with a maximum size of 48 inches including the frame. Artists may submit up to 10 photographs.

The entry fee is $35 for the first three images and $10 for each subsequent image. Current RICPA members receive a 20% discount on entry fees. The juror is Neal Rantoul, an active member of the photographic community and former head of the Photo Program at Northeastern University. Awards include First Place ($250), Second Place ($150), and Third Place ($100). The exhibition runs from September 19 through October 11, 2019, with a reception and awards ceremony on September 19 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Accepted work must be delivered by September 14, 2019, either in-person (noon-5:30 p.m.) or by shipment with a prepaid return label. The gallery is located at 118 North Main Street, Providence, RI, 2nd Floor. RICPA retains a 40% commission on works sold (20% for current members). Artists retain all copyright to submitted images and grant RICPA the right to use images for marketing and online reproduction with artist recognition.
