7th Annual Square Foot Auction

Artworks Center for Contemporary Art's 7th Annual Square Foot Auction is open to artists residing in the U.S. mountain states: Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. Larimer County residents apply free; contact [email protected] for a discount code. Artworks alumni may enter for free regardless of current residence. The entry fee is $15.00, and artists may submit up to six pieces.

All work must be either one square foot or one cubic foot, including any framing. The auction is open to all original media in 2-D and 3-D formats. Reproductions, including giclées and mechanical prints on canvas, are disqualified except for limited edition original work. Photography is eligible; if submitting photographic work, briefly state the type of process and medium used. Submitted work must have been created within the last three years and cannot have been submitted to past Square Foot Auctions. All 2-D works must be ready to hang. All 3-D works must have proper supports, hanging devices, and installation instructions if needed.

Juried works will be included in the 7th Annual Square Foot Auction, presented in the center's main gallery from September 23-30, 2022. Selected artists receive one complimentary ticket and one guest ticket to the opening gala on Friday evening, September 23, 2022. All juried works are included in the online catalog on ACCA's website, and the auction receives widespread regional advertising and promotion. Bidding starts at $200 with all reserves at $200. The minimum "Buy it Now" price is $250. ACCA retains a percentage of the actual sale price (minimum 75%), with the option for artists to make 100% donations. Unsold artwork must be picked up or shipping arrangements made by October 7, 2022. The Best in Show award includes a solo pop-up show in ACCA's South Gallery during Square Foot 8 in 2023 for one week. Artworks insures all works on its premises from arrival through departure or October 7, 2022, whichever comes first; artists are responsible for insuring work in transit.
