7th Annual Juried Photography Show

The 7th Annual Juried Photography Show seeks new photographs of animals, considering how animals are depicted photographically as broadly as possible. The exhibition welcomes applications addressing various approaches, including those using telephoto lenses, higher ISOs, drones, camera traps, radar, lidar, and traditional non-digital materials and mediums to explore ecological concerns, abstraction, and other ideas.

Eligibility is open to all artists residing in the US. All work must be original and created within the past five years and cannot have been included in a prior SAGE Juried Photography show. Artists may re-submit photos that were not juried into a previous show. Printed photos cannot exceed 40 inches in width (including any framing). Accepted photos must be exhibit-ready with proper hanging mechanism included (no saw-tooth hangers or clip-on frames will be accepted). Submissions may include 1-10 images. Entry fees are $15 for SAGE members (first photo) or $25 for non-members (first photo), with each additional piece at $5. All entry fees are non-refundable. Both stages of jurying will be done blindly. Selected artists will be notified by email on December 20th. All accepted work must be for sale as part of the exhibition. Work must arrive by January 18th at 5:30pm. The exhibition runs January 25th through March 5th, 2022. An Awards Reception will be held February 3rd from 5:30pm-7pm. Awards include Best of Show ($500), First Prize ($300), Second Prize ($200), Third Prize ($100), and People's Choice ($75). For work sold, SAGE retains a 35% commission for member artists and 40% for non-members, with the remainder remitted to the artist. The juror is Todd Forsgren, a photographer and director of the Ryniker-Morrison Gallery at Rocky Mountain College.
