About This Call

Open to artists residing in Florida. Artists may submit a maximum of 3 artworks: up to 3 images, or up to 1 audio file, or up to 1 video file. All work must be original and completed in the last 12 months. Entry fee is $30.00 for the first submission, with a $5.00 fee for each additional image.

Work specifications: 2-D and 3-D work, installations, and digital media are eligible. Hanging pieces must not exceed 48" per side and must have wire attached for hanging. 2-D work must be ready-to-hang. Installation work is limited to a 6' square floor space with 8' height maximum. All work is limited to 50 lbs maximum weight. All media and printing techniques must be clearly stated for each artwork.

Judges: Bill Ward (professor emeritus of the University of Miami) will judge 2-D and 3-D media. Marilyn Bauer (arts and culture writer) will judge digital media submissions. Awards: Two First Prize awards of $500 each (one for 2-D/3-D work, one for digital media), one Second Prize award of $300, one Third Prize award of $150, and three Honorable Mentions. Exhibition dates: February 6 to March 2, 2012, at Northern Trust Bank Building, 2201 SE Kingswood Terrace, Monterrey Commons, Stuart, Florida. Exhibition hours: Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 3 PM. Opening reception and awards: Friday, February 3, 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Artists will be notified of selection by January 16, 2012. Artwork delivery: Wednesday, February 1, 2012, 10 AM to 4 PM. Artwork pickup: Monday, March 5 from 10 AM to 2 PM. A 20% donation benefiting the Historical Society of Martin County will be deducted from all sales. Artists are responsible for shipping and return shipping of their work. The museum provides insurance coverage for artwork from delivery through pickup on March 5, 2012.
