79th Ohio Annual Exhibition

The Zanesville Museum of Art presents the 79th Ohio Annual Exhibition, a competitive, juried exhibition open to all Ohio artists 18 years and older who presently live in or have previously lived in the state. Works must be original and completed in the last two years. The exhibition runs from June 22 to September 14, 2024, at the museum's location at 620 Military Road, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.

Artists may submit up to two works across eight categories: Painting (All Types), Drawing/Prints/Collage, Sculpture, Jewelry and Functional Metalwork, Ceramics, Glass, Photography, and Fiber Art/Textiles/Quilts. The entry fee is $25 per work submitted. Work samples must include 1-2 images. Artwork must not exceed 72"h x 72"w and 100lbs. Two-dimensional submissions must be framed and ready to hang with D-rings. All artwork must be dry and in stable condition upon delivery.

Juror Charlotte Gordon, Artistic Director of the Southern Ohio Museum and Cultural Center, will select award recipients. Awards include: Best in Show ($1,000), Ceramics Heritage Award ($500), Janice Ballas Excellence in Fiber Arts Award ($250), and $100 awards in six categories. The ZMA retains a 30% commission on all artwork sold. Artwork should be eligible for sale unless marked NFS. Artists are responsible for delivery and pickup. Hand-delivery is available May 30-June 1, 2024. Shipped artwork must be postmarked by May 19, 2025, and include a return shipping label. All artwork must be picked up by September 14, 2025, or shipped back using the enclosed label by September 16, 2025. The ZMA is not liable for damage or loss in transit.
