79th Ohio Annual Exhibition

The 79th Ohio Annual Exhibition, held at the Zanesville Museum of Art, is a competitive, juried exhibition open to all Ohio artists in all stages of their career. Established in 1942 as the "May Show of Arts and Crafts," this annual exhibition recognizes fine art and fine craft created in Ohio and celebrates the museum's commitment to discovering and encouraging Ohio's finest artists and artisans. The exhibition runs from June 26 to September 13, 2025.

Artists may submit up to two original artworks completed in the last two years that have not been previously exhibited at the Zanesville Museum of Art. Submissions are accepted in nine categories: Painting (All Types), Drawing/Prints/Collage, Sculpture, Jewelry and Functional Metalwork, Ceramics, Glass, Photography, and Fiber Art/Textiles/Quilts. Artwork must not exceed 72" H x 72" W (including frame) or 100 lbs. Entry fee is $25 per work. All work will be juried based on high-resolution digital images submitted with the entry form. Eligibility is open to artists 18 years and older who presently live in or have previously lived in Ohio.

Awards totaling $2,550 will be presented, including Best in Show ($1,000), category awards ranging from $100-$500, and the Ceramics Heritage Award ($500) and Janice Ballas Excellence in Fiber Arts Award ($250). The exhibition opening and awards ceremony take place Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 5:30 pm. Accepted artworks must be delivered by June 1, 2025. The ZMA retains a 30% commission on all artwork sold.
