77th Ohio Annual Exhibition

The Zanesville Museum of Art presents the 77th Ohio Annual Exhibition, a competitive, juried exhibition celebrating fine art and fine craft created in Ohio. Open to all Ohio artists 18 years and older who presently live in or have previously lived in the state, the exhibition recognizes extraordinary work across eight categories: Painting (All Types), Drawing/Prints/Collage, Sculpture, Jewelry and Functional Metalwork, Ceramics, Glass, Photography, and Fiber Art/Textiles/Quilts. Works must be original, completed within the last two years, and not previously exhibited at the museum. Each artist may submit a maximum of two works, with an entry fee of $25 per work. Artwork must not exceed 72"h x 72"w and 100lbs.

The exhibition will be juried by Simone Renee Spruce, a distinguished artist and educator. Awards include a $1,000 Best in Show prize, a $500 Ceramics Heritage Award, a $250 Janice Ballas Excellence in Fiber Arts Award, and $100 awards in six additional categories. The exhibition runs June 23 - September 9, 2023, with an opening reception on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 6 pm.

Artists are responsible for delivery and pickup of artwork. Hand delivery is available June 9-10, 2023, 10am-4pm, or by appointment at 620 Military Road, Zanesville, Ohio 43701. Shipped artwork must be postmarked by June 2, 2023, and include a return shipping label. All artwork must be picked up by September 12, 2023. The ZMA retains a 30% commission on artwork sold from the exhibition and is not liable for damage or loss in transit.
