76th Ohio Annual Exhibition

The 76th Ohio Annual Exhibition is a competitive, juried exhibition hosted by the Zanesville Museum of Art. Open to all Ohio artists 18 years and older who presently live in or have previously lived in the state, the exhibition welcomes submissions in all stages of career. This annual exhibition, which began in 1942 as the May Show of Arts and Crafts, continues to recognize extraordinary fine art and fine craft created in Ohio.

Submissions are accepted in eight categories: Painting (All Types), Drawing/Prints/Collage, Sculpture, Jewelry and Functional Metalwork, Ceramics, Glass, Photography, and Fiber Art/Textiles/Quilts. Each artist may submit a maximum of two original works completed in the last two years. The entry fee is $25 per work submitted. All accepted images will be compiled into a virtual gallery on the museum's website and shared across social media platforms. Works will be eligible for sale through the ZMA website, with the museum retaining a 30% commission.

Juror Cat Sheridan, Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery Director, will select participants and award prizes. The Best in Show award is $1,000. The Janice Ballas Excellence in Fiber Arts award is $250. Category awards of $100 will be presented in each of the eight categories (pending sufficient applicants in each category). The virtual award ceremony and exhibition opening is scheduled for Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 6 p.m. The exhibition runs from June 23 through September 9, 2022. Works must be original and not previously exhibited at the Zanesville Museum of Art. Accepted works may not be withdrawn prior to the close of the exhibition.
