6th Open Call: A Juried International Photography Exhibition

The Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts invites artists to submit work for a juried international photography exhibition. This open call welcomes contemporary voices in photography of all levels, with artists at least 18 years or older eligible to enter.

Artists may submit up to 10 photographs in any photographic process or technology, current or historical. Work must be original and exhibition-ready, with a maximum size of 48 inches including frame. The entry fee is $35 for the first three images and $10 for each additional image. Current RICPA members receive a 20% discount on entry fees. The juror is Aline Smithson, founder of the online photography journal LENSCRATCH and an award-winning conceptual portrait artist.

The exhibition runs February 21 through March 15, 2019, at the Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts, 118 N. Main St., Providence, RI. Awards include First Place ($250), Second Place ($150), and Third Place ($100). Accepted work must be delivered by February 18, 2019. In-person deliveries are accepted February 16 from noon to 5:30 p.m. or by appointment. A professional print service with frame rental is available for accepted entries starting at $40 for prints up to 16" x 20". The reception and awards ceremony is February 21, 2019, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. RICPA retains a 40% commission on works sold (20% for current members). Artists retain all copyright to submitted images and grant RICPA the right to use images for marketing and online reproduction.
