6th Biennial Wings & Water

River Arts, Inc. invites artists from around the nation to participate in a juried exhibit depicting their definition of wings and/or water. Examples include works of birds, insects, fish, animals, rivers, or abstract representations thereof.

Submissions are limited to 4 works per artist. All styles, media, and techniques are accepted, including 2D and 3D pieces. Works must be original and include title, media, dimensions (framed and unframed if applicable), and price. The maximum size limit is 5 feet on the longest side. Two-dimensional work must be gallery ready and wired for hanging (no sawtooths or clip hangers). All works must remain at the gallery for the duration of the exhibit from September 5 to November 17, 2023.

Entry fee is $35 for the first work and $10 for each additional work (maximum four works total). Artists may submit one image per work; alternate views or detail images should be incorporated as a side-by-side comparison in one image file. Awards include $500 Best of Show, $150 2nd Place, $75 Honorable Mention (2 awards), and $50 People's Choice. The juror is Adriana Barrios. Artists retain 65% of sales with 35% retained by River Arts Inc. Acceptances and regrets will be sent by Friday, July 7th at 6:00pm central. The opening reception is Saturday, September 9th from 4pm-6pm, with awards announced at 4:30pm. Artwork is due to the venue August 15-19, 2023. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance costs. River Arts Inc. will provide insurance while artwork is in its possession from drop-off through pick-up. Artwork not picked up within 30 days of the closing exhibition date will be considered abandoned.
