6th Annual ArtSEE

The Abstract Art Collective (AAC) is seeking submissions for the 6th Annual ArtSEE exhibition, a virtual exhibition displayed on the AAC website. The exhibition includes both a juried show and a group of 10 x 10 inch panels donated by AAC artists to benefit SEE International. Only current AAC members are eligible to participate.

Juried Show: Submissions are accepted June 3–June 21, 2020 at 11:00 PM PST. Artists may submit up to 3 pieces at $15 for the first piece and $10 each for the second and third pieces. The online exhibition runs July 15–September 15, 2020. Artist notifications will be sent July 1, 2020. Prizes include 1st Place $100, 2nd Place $50, and 3rd Place $50, with all awards announced online July 15, 2020. Juror Mariko Tabar is an artist, art educator, and Santa Barbara County Second District Art Commissioner. Images must be submitted as JPEG or JPG files, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5 MB, with sRGB color profile. Images should be cropped to the edges of artwork with no frame or background showing. Accepted media includes paintings, inkjet prints of digitally created work, hand-pulled prints, and photography. Paintings must be back-wired with standard multi-strand picture wire. Sales are conducted through SEE International, with 10% retained by Art at the JCC, 10% by AAC, and 80% to the artist.

10 x 10 Panels: AAC member artists can pick up panels from Art Essentials (32 E Victoria St., Santa Barbara), open 10:00 AM–4:00 PM Monday–Saturday. Limit of 3 panels per artist. Completed panels must be back-wired and received by July 1st at the Jewish Federation of Greater Santa Barbara (524 Chapala St., Santa Barbara) between 10:00 AM and noon. Panels should be labeled on the back with artist name, medium, and title. 100% of donated panel sales proceeds go to SEE International.
