About This Call
The Society of Animal Artists invites members to submit work for the 66th Annual Exhibition at The Elliott Museum in Stuart, FL, running August 6 – December 11, 2026. The entry deadline is April 6, 2026.
This exhibition is open to all SAA members with current dues. Artists may submit up to two entries at $35 for the first entry and $10 for an optional second entry. All work must be original, 2D, properly mounted and framed, and completed within the last five years (2022-2026). Work exhibited in a previous SAA Annual Exhibition or special show may not be entered. A minimum frame size of 7x7 inches is recommended, though smaller pieces may be displayed in cases. The Society reserves the right not to display work that does not match the quality of the digital images entered.
Accepted artwork will be eligible for the Society of Animal Artists Award of Excellence, bronze medals awarded annually for works reflecting the highest standards of artistic excellence in animal art. Cash and purchase awards will also be awarded. Associates juried into the show will receive 1 point toward Signature promotion. Accepted works will be illustrated in a color, print-on-demand catalog at no production cost to artists. There is a 30% commission on sales. Notifications will be emailed and posted in ShowSubmit accounts by April 17, 2026.
Submission requires a JPEG image at least 2400 pixels on the longest edge, cropped to show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background. File size must not exceed 30 MB. Artists must enclose a return label with their shipment and email a copy to the SAA office. Accepted artists will receive reimbursement for inbound shipping up to $200. All shipping costs are the artist's responsibility. Submission to any SAA show is a commitment to participate; artists withdrawing work will be subject to a 2-year ban from SAA exhibitions.
