64th Rochester-Finger Lakes Exhibition

The 64th Rochester-Finger Lakes Exhibition is open to artists at least 18 years of age who live in a 27-county upstate New York region: Allegany, Broome, Cattaraugus, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Genesee, Erie, Livingston, Madison, Monroe, Niagara, Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Orleans, Oswego, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates.

Entries must be original work completed within the last two years. Artists may submit up to three artworks with one JPEG image per artwork. DVD entries are accepted with a maximum length of 20 minutes each; stills are not accepted. The entry fee is $35 per artist (non-refundable). The deadline for entries is April 15, 2013. Juried results will be notified the week of April 29. The exhibition opens to the public on Sunday, July 14 and closes on Sunday, September 8. Delivery of accepted works is Thursday–Saturday, June 27–29. Pick up of works is Monday & Tuesday, September 9 & 10.

Awards include a Memorial Art Gallery Award ($1,000) and other cash awards. One exhibiting artist will win a spot in the 2014 Rochester Biennial. The juror is Alex Nyerges, Director of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. If accepted, works must be suitably prepared for exhibition. Sale of exhibited artwork is at the discretion of the artist and will be managed by the Gallery Store during the exhibition, which retains a 45% commission. Accepted work may not be withdrawn by the artist before the close of the exhibition.
