About This Call
64 ARTS National Juried Exhibition is celebrating its 12th year. This national juried exhibition showcases quality visual artwork from artists across the United States and promotes the importance of the arts in the Warren County community and surrounding region. The exhibition is open to artists working in all mediums. Works must be original and created in the last two years. Works created under the direction of an instructor or derived from copyrighted images will not be accepted. Works previously exhibited at the Buchanan Center for the Arts will not be accepted.
Entry deadline is June 1, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. The non-refundable entry fee is $30 per artist for up to three pieces of artwork, with one image per piece. Artists must submit entries digitally through www.callforentry.org (CaFÉ). Notification of acceptance will be sent via email by July 1, with artwork due by August 1. The exhibition runs August 25-October 9, 2020, with artwork return scheduled for October 13-23. All two-dimensional works on paper must be framed and under plexiglass (glass acceptable for works under 14" in any direction). Frames and mattes must be museum quality. Hanging works may not exceed 40 lbs. and are limited to 50" (including frame) in either direction. Three-dimensional work should not exceed 75 lbs. or 60" in any direction. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and must include prepaid return shipping labels.
Juror Samantha Grassi is an exhibition designer and artist who currently designs exhibitions at the Art Institute of Chicago. Awards include Mary Jane Twomey Best of Show ($1,000), Lonnie Eugene Stewart Sculpture Award ($1,000), and category awards of $300 each for mixed media, sculpture, works on paper, photography, ceramics, and painting. Recipients of monetary awards will be determined by the juror. Artists need not be present. For questions, contact [email protected].
