64 Arts 2017

64 Arts 2017 is an exhibition open to artists working in all media. Works must be original and created in the last two years. Works created under instructor direction or derived from copyrighted images will not be accepted. Works previously exhibited at the Buchanan Center for the Arts are not eligible. Up to three works may be submitted per $25 entry fee, with one image per work.

Exhibition dates are August 29 – October 7, 2017. Notification of acceptance will be sent via email or post by July 15, 2017. Artwork delivery is August 1-19, 2017. An awards reception will be held Friday, September 8, 2017 from 5-7pm. Awards include: Mary Jane Twomey Award for Best of Show ($1,000), Lonnie Eugene Stewart Sculpture Award ($1,000), OSF Family Medical Center Painting Award ($300), Blick Art Materials Mixed Media Award ($300), Blick Art Materials Sculpture Award ($300), Jim Keefe Photography Award ($300), Harlow & Lila Blum Works on Paper Award ($300), and Ceramics Award ($300). Award recipients will be determined by the juror and announced at the opening reception. Artists need not be present.

Two-dimensional works on paper must be framed and under Plexi-glass (glass acceptable for works under 14" in any direction). Frames and mattes must be museum quality and in good condition. Hanging works may not exceed 40 lbs. and are limited to 50" (including frame) in either direction. Three-dimensional work should not exceed 75 lbs. or 60" in any direction. All entries are submitted digitally through www.callforentry.org. Entries are active February 17 through June 15, 2017, with all entries due by 11:59 MST on June 15, 2017. Artists are responsible for shipping costs. Hand-delivered artwork pickup and return of shipped artwork is October 10-14, 2017.
