60th Mid-States Art Exhibition

The Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science invites artists to submit work for the 60th Mid-States Art Exhibition, running November 22, 2020 – February 14, 2021. Any artist residing in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, or Tennessee may enter. All work must be original, completed within the last three years, and not previously exhibited in the Mid-States Art Exhibition or at the Evansville Museum.

The competition is open for Painting, Drawing, Graphic Arts, Collage, Sculpture, and Mixed Media. Photography is not accepted. Entries must not exceed 108 inches in any direction and/or 150 pounds. No entry that requires the artist to be present for moving or assembly will be accepted. The entry fee is $40.00, which entitles entrants to submit up to two entries. Submissions are made via CaFE. If paying by check, payment must be received at the museum no later than September 25th to be eligible for jurying.

Over $10,000 in purchase and merit awards will be awarded. Purchase award-winning works will become part of the Evansville Museum's permanent collection. The juror will select awards on October 15th after reviewing entries virtually. Notification of jurying results will be sent October 5th. Accepted work will be received October 25 – November 7, 2020 during museum hours. Exhibited work may be claimed February 18 – February 26, 2021. The Museum takes a 20% commission for sales. All works accepted for exhibition will be insured while on the museum premises at a value agreeable to the artist and the Museum, with a maximum insurance value of $4,000.00.
