About This Call
The 5x5x5 Show is River Oaks' small art spectacle featuring miniature works. The 2019 exhibition is its 4th year and coincides with the gift giving season. Guest Juror for 2019 is New Orleans artist, author and gallery owner Alex Beard.
Both 2D and 3D works are accepted in all media. Original works only. Image size should be no larger than 5x5 or 25 square inches. Three dimensional work should stay within 5"h x 5"w x 5"d. When matting, the mat should be off-white or white in color. Framing should suit the piece and be ready to hang. Entry artists may submit 1-4 pieces maximum. Entry fee is $15. All specs must be followed to be included in the exhibition.
Awards include $500 Best in Show, 3 Merit Awards of $100 each, and Honorable Mention. River Oaks receives a 30% commission on works sold. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance costs to and from the Art Center. Accepted artwork must be delivered by 5 pm Friday, November 8, with return shipping label included. Exhibition dates are November 15, 2019 - February 8, 2020. Jury acceptance notification is October 25, 2019. Return shipment of unsold works is March 7, 2020. No entry payment refunds.
