5x5x5 Jacksonville State University Mini-Works

5x5x5 is a competition for artists of all concentrations to create work within the constraint of 5 inches by 5 inches. Three-dimensional works are allowed as long as they do not exceed 5 inches in height or width.

Up to three works may be entered for a non-refundable fee of $35.00. Work must be ready to hang or be displayed. Artists are responsible for shipping and dropping off work. Shipped work must include return labels. Jacksonville State University will not be responsible for any damage incurred in transit. Any special display instructions should be reported to [email protected].

Submission Deadline: May 5th. Work Arrival Date: May 16th-20th. Installation Dates: May 24th-26th. Reception: May 26th. Takedown: June 24th. Pick-up/Return: June 27th-July 8th. Show Dates: May 26th-June 24th.

Juror: Adrienne Callander, Assistant Professor of Arts Entrepreneurship in New College at the University of Alabama. She holds an MFA from Mason Gross School of Art at Rutgers University (2006), a Post-Baccalaureate in Visual Art from Maryland Institute College of Art (2002), and a BA in History from Reed College (1998).

Awards: $300 Best of Show, $200 First Prize, $150 JSU Presidents Purchase Award, $100 JSU College of Arts and Sciences Award, $100 Groover Studio Award, $100 JSU Dept. of Art Purchase Award, $100 Visual Arts Society JSU Award, $100 Recollected Books Purchase Award.
