5x5x5 Art Show

River Oaks Square Arts Center invites visual artists to participate in the 5x5x5 Art Show, an annual miniature exhibition. This national competition features original works of art sized no larger than 5x5 inches (25 square inches) for 2D work or 5"h x 5"w x 5"d for 3D work. Both 2D and 3D works are accepted in all media. Artists may submit up to 2 pieces. The entry fee is $15 per artist.

Guest juror Mark A. Tullos, Jr., a museum director with over 30 years of experience in the arts industry, will select award winners. Awards include $300 for Best in Show, three Merit Awards of $100 each, and Honorable Mention recognition. The exhibition runs from November 18, 2016 through January 13, 2017, with an opening reception and award ceremony on Friday, November 18 from 5-7 PM. River Oaks receives a 30% commission on works sold. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance costs to and from the Art Center. Accepted artwork must be delivered by 5 PM on Friday, November 11, and must include a return shipping label. All work must be clearly marked on the back with title, artist name, medium, price, and year created. For matted 2D work, matting should be no more than 2" on top and sides and 3" on the bottom, in off-white or white color. Framing should be ready to hang.
