5th Annual 5x5x5 Show

The 5x5x5 Show is River Oaks Arts Center's small art spectacle featuring miniature works from artists across the U.S., coinciding with the gift giving season. The 5th Annual exhibition is juried by Virginia Rougon Chavis, a designer, artist, and educator who is Professor of Art and former Chair of the Department at The University of Mississippi Department of Art & Art History.

Both 2D and 3D works are accepted in all media. Original works only—no prints. Work size should not exceed 5x5 inches or 25 square inches for 2D pieces, or 5"h x 5"w x 5"d for three-dimensional work. When matted, the mat should be off-white or white in color with no limitations on frame or mat size. The 5x5x5 specification applies to the work only, not framing or matting. Framing should suit the piece and be ready to hang. Entry artists may submit 1-4 pieces maximum. The entry fee is $15 per artist.

Awards include $500 for Best in Show, three Merit Awards of $100 each, and Honorable Mention recognition. River Oaks Arts Center receives a 30% commission on works sold. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance costs to and from the Art Center. Accepted artwork must be delivered by 5 pm Friday, November 6, with a return shipping label included. The exhibition opens November 13, 2020, and runs through February 6, 2021. Unsold works will be returned April 15, 2021. A workshop with juror Virginia Rougon Chavis is scheduled for November 12 & 13.
