59th Annual All Florida Juried Competition and Exhibition

All artists residing in the state of Florida are invited to submit up to three (3) entries for the 59th Annual All Florida Juried Competition and Exhibition to be held at the Boca Raton Museum of Art from June 23 through August 1, 2010. Florida's oldest statewide annual juried competition features artwork from prominent and emerging Florida artists. Submissions of original works will be considered from all media: paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture, photography, video, computer generated images, and site-specific installations.

Entry fee is $35 for up to three individual artworks. One application per artist is permitted. All entries must be submitted online no later than April 16, 2010. Original artworks must be completed after January 1, 2008 and not previously exhibited at the Boca Raton Museum of Art. For 2D artists, submit up to 3 artworks with 1 image per artwork only (no detail shots). For 3D and video artists, submit up to 3 artworks represented by no more than 2 images per work or a total of up to 6 images. Video or sound-based materials must be sent separately on CD or DVD format, postmarked by April 9, 2010, to Kelli Bodle, Curatorial Assistant, Boca Raton Museum of Art, 501 Plaza Real, Boca Raton, Florida 33432.

Cash awards totaling $3,000 will be distributed: Best-In-Show $1,500 and three Merit Awards of $500 each. The juror is Linda Norden, Director of the CUNY Graduate Center's James Gallery, New York City. Accepted artists are responsible for all shipping arrangements and expenses. Original artwork accepted for exhibition must be dropped off between 10am and 4pm on June 15 or 16, 2010, and picked up between 10am and 4pm on August 2 or 3. Artworks not picked up by 5pm on August 3, 2010 will be subject to storage charges of $20 plus $5 for each additional business day.
