58th Annual Regional Juried Art Exhibition and Sale

The Richardson Civic Art Society presents the 58th Annual Regional Juried Art Exhibition and Sale, open to amateur and professional Texas artists age 18 and over. The exhibition runs May 1-27, 2024 at the Charles W. Eisemann Center, 2351 Performance Drive, Richardson, TX 75082. Funded in part by the City of Richardson through the Richardson Cultural Arts Commission.

Eligibility: Artwork must be original, executed after March 15, 2022 without instructor supervision, and not previously accepted into any RCAS Regional Exhibition. Work must not be copies of others' artwork or photographs, and cannot have been generated using artificial intelligence. Only two-dimensional art is accepted in four juried categories: Oils (including water soluble oils, oil & cold wax, and encaustic); Watermedia (watercolor, acrylic, gouache, inks on paper or canvas); Pastels, Graphics, Digital & Photographic Art; and Collage & Mixed Media. Minimum artwork dimensions are 8" x 10" without frame; maximum framed dimension is 42" in either direction with 2" or less depth. Artwork containing nudes, conspicuously religious, blatant political, or suggestive content will not be accepted.

Entry fees: $35 for one piece, $45 for two pieces, $55 for three pieces (limit three total). RCAS members receive 25% discount. Approximately $6,000 in cash awards available: Best of Show $1,500, Judge's Choice $500, and category awards (1st $300, 2nd $250, 3rd $200 in each of four categories). Artists may qualify for up to three awards, one per category. Entry deadline: March 18, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Acceptance notifications emailed April 1, 2024. Take-in: April 29, 2024, 4:00-6:00 p.m. (hand-delivered) or April 20-27, 2024 (shipped). Awards reception: May 12, 2024, 7:00-9:00 p.m. Load-out: May 28, 2024, 10:00 a.m.-noon. Juror: Jo Williams.
