58th Annual National Drawing & Small Sculpture Show

The 58th Annual National Drawing and Small Sculpture Show is open to all U.S. artists. Only work created in the last three years can be entered, and previously exhibited works in the Annual Show are not eligible. Each artist may submit up to three works. The exhibition is judged by a guest juror of national stature and features $7,500 in purchase awards: two Sculpture Purchase Awards at $3,000 each and one 2-D Purchase Award at $1,500. All accepted artwork is displayed in the Joseph A. Cain Memorial Gallery and can be considered for purchase.

The 58th show runs February 16 through May 1, 2024, with an opening reception on February 16 from 6-8 p.m. A slide lecture by the juror is scheduled for February 15, 2024. The entry deadline is November 30, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee is $25 for three entries, with an additional $5 per entry for submissions beyond three works. Artists must submit 3-5 images (JPEG or JPG only, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5 MB, sRGB color profile). Accepted artists will be notified via email by January 9, 2024, and accepted work must arrive by January 30, 2024.

Eligible work includes drawing, painting, printmaking, watercolor, photography, and sculpture of any media (excluding works requiring ceiling suspension). All 2-D artwork must not exceed 72 inches in the longest dimension; all 3-D sculpture must weigh less than 50 lbs. Artists are responsible for insuring their artwork in transit and during the exhibition. Accepted artwork must be returned by May 31, 2024.
