56th Annual Regional Juried Art Exhibition and Sale

The Richardson Civic Art Society presents the 56th Annual Regional Juried Art Exhibition and Sale, open to amateur and professional Texas artists age 18 and over. The exhibition runs April 27 through May 30, 2022 at the Charles W. Eisemann Center in Richardson, Texas, with an awards reception on May 8, 2022.

Artwork must be original, executed after February 1, 2020 without instructor supervision, and must not have been previously accepted in any RCAS Regional Shows. Accepted categories include Oil/Acrylic on Canvas or Hard Surface, Water Media on Paper, Collage/Mixed Media (including digital/photographic art), and Pastels/Graphics. No sculpture, shadow boxes, or assemblage. Artwork including nudes, conspicuously religious or blatant political statements will not be accepted. Size requirements: minimum 8" x 10", maximum 42" in either direction including frames. Paintings must be less than 2 inches deep and framed professionally with D-rings and wire. Watercolor and fragile media must be under Plexiglas. Gallery-wrapped canvas is acceptable with painted edges. Collage build-ups must not exceed 1/4".

Entry fee is $35 for one piece, $10 for each additional piece (limit three total). RCAS members receive a 25% discount. Approximately $6,000 in cash and merchandise awards will be distributed, including a Best of Show Purchase Award of $1,500 and category awards of $300, $250, and $200 for first, second, and third place respectively. The juror is Steve Ko, an internationally known portrait artist. Entries are submitted online through callforentry.org as JPEG files, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5 MB. Accepted entries must be delivered by April 22, 2022 (shipped) or April 25, 2022 (hand-delivered). Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and must pick up hand-delivered work by May 31, 2022. A 15% commission to the Eisemann Center and 20% commission to RCAS is required on all sales.
