55th National Juried Artists Exhibition: The Summer Show

The St. Tammany Art Association presents the 55th Annual National Juried Exhibition, The Summer Show, at the Miriam Barranger Gallery in historic downtown Covington. The juror for the 2025 Summer Show is Sasha Newkirk, who has designed and curated exhibitions at leading New York institutions and contributes regularly to Metalsmith Magazine.

Up to three artworks may be submitted per artist. The entry fee is $35 for one, two, or three artworks. A minimum of $3,500 in cash prizes will be awarded, including a $2,000 prize for Best of Show, with additional cash and merit awards at the juror's discretion. The exhibition will be on display July 12 - September 12, 2025, with regular gallery hours Wednesday to Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM and Saturdays from 11 AM to 4 PM. The exhibition is free and open to the public. An artists reception will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025, 6-9pm with award presentations at 7pm. A closing reception will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025, 6-9pm.

Open to contemporary artists ages 18 and up from across the United States. Accepted artwork must be original visual art completed within the past two years and not previously exhibited at STAA. There are no size restrictions; however, space limitations do not allow accommodation of film, video, or large installations. Reproductions are not admitted. Results will be announced on or before Tuesday, June 3, 2025. Accepted artists must deliver work between June 28 - July 3, 2025. Shipped work must be sent via FedEx in reusable crates with pre-paid return shipping labels. Hand-delivered work may be picked up September 16-20, 2025, and shipped work must be returned by Saturday, September 20, 2025. Artists are encouraged to provide their own insurance.
