About This Call

The 52nd Annual Harding Art Show will be held April 29–May 1, 2027, on the Harding Academy campus in Nashville. Since 1975, the show has grown into one of the largest fine art exhibitions in the Southeastern U.S., featuring approximately 90 artists and welcoming around 5,000 guests including art collectors, interior designers, and enthusiasts from the Greater Nashville community. The 2026 show generated $1.7 million in art sales. Proceeds benefit Harding Academy's student programs, facilities, and arts education.

Artists are selected by a designated selection committee with members including artists, designers, and supporters. Openings are available in all art categories including painting, ceramics, digital art, glass, jewelry, metals, photography, sculpture, and woodwork. Applications must include a short artist bio (no more than 5 sentences) and eight digital images of current work representing quality, average price points, consistency, and style. Respective prices for each image must be included. Approximately 350 applications are received annually, with an average of 75 artists selected through jury and approximately 10 returning artists invited.

Application fee is $50. Indoor booth fee is $150; outdoor booth fee is $100. Indoor booths include white pegboards, hanging hardware, power strip, and electricity access. Outdoor booths include power strip and electricity access; artists provide their own tent and display materials. Artists are recommended to bring 25-35 works (more for jewelers and ceramics artists). Catered meals, beverages, and snacks are provided daily. Each artist receives an assigned liaison for support throughout the process. Private security is provided 24 hours daily with locked, video-monitored storage available. Artists receive 70% of gross sales via direct deposit within three weeks of the show; Harding Academy receives 30%. For commissions or sales within 120 days following the show, Harding Academy receives 30%. Artists are responsible for Tennessee sales tax on their 70% portion. All works must be original, designed and produced by or under direct supervision of the exhibiting artist. No commercial reproductions, posters, or promotional products are permitted; limited signed reproductions may be allowed. The artist must be present during the show except in special circumstances. Application deadline is November 13, 2026. Artist notification is December 14, 2026. Artist invitation acceptance deadline and booth purchase deadline are January 8, 2027.
