528.0 Regional Juried Printmaking Exhibition 2017

The 528.0 Regional Juried Printmaking Exhibition is open to artists residing within a 528-mile radius of Denver, Colorado. The exhibition will be hosted at Metropolitan State University's Center for Visual Art. The number 5,280 refers to Denver's status as the Mile High City. The exhibition celebrates the expansive diversity of contemporary printmaking found within this western region.

Eligible artworks may include hand-pulled prints created with intaglio, lithography, relief, silkscreen, or experimental methods. No digital reproductions or photography will be accepted. There are no size limitations. Artworks must be received framed and ready to hang. Installation, mixed media, video and audio work will be accepted if they include the use of hand-pulled prints and are accompanied by detailed presentation instructions and images. Artists may submit up to 3 pieces for a $30 application fee.

Prize selections will be made anonymously. $1,600 in prize money will be distributed, including one $1,000 Sue Cannon Award for excellence in printmaking and six $100 Jurors' Choice awards (two selected by each juror). Artists will receive 50% of sale proceeds, with 25% going to Center for Visual Art and 25% to Invisible Museum. Artists will be notified of selection by April 12, 2017. The exhibition opens May 26, 2017 and closes July 22, 2017. All shipping costs and insurance are the responsibility of the artist. Work must be delivered between May 1-8, 2017, and return shipping must be arranged by July 22, 2017.
