About This Call
The 528.0 Regional Print Exhibit: Futures is sponsored by Mo'Print and the Center for Visual Art, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and will be hosted at the Center for Visual Art (CVA) in Denver's Arts District on Santa Fe in conjunction with Denver's Month Of Printmaking (March 2026). The number 5,280 refers to Denver's status as the Mile High City.
This juried exhibition invites printmakers to delve into the multifaceted concept of the future. The exhibition will feature prints that reflect diverse views on what lies ahead, ranging from hopeful visions to cautionary tales. Through their prints, participating artists will highlight the role of art in shaping and reflecting our collective future. The exhibition is open to artists residing within a 528.0 mile radius of Denver, Colorado.
Submissions must utilize a form of traditional hand printed media as their primary technique, but may include digital output elements within the greater work. Acceptable media include monoprint, monotype, screen print, intaglio, photopolymer, photogravure, collagraph, stone or plate lithography, woodcut, linocut, steamroller, letterpress, and book-arts. Finished artworks composed solely of inkjet, risograph, photocopy, laser engraving, or giclée reproductions will not be accepted. There are no minimum or maximum size limitations. Entry fee is $35 for up to 3 pieces. Limited entrance fee scholarships are available for artists experiencing economic hardship, BIPOC artists, and LGBTQIA+ artists; email [email protected] to request.
Work samples may include 1-3 images (JPG files only), and up to 3 audio or video files. Images must represent the work exactly and be cropped to exclude framing and background. Call for Entry opens June 2025 with a deadline of Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. Email notification of selections will be sent by Saturday, November 1, 2025. The exhibit opens Friday, January 2, 2026, with an opening reception Friday, January 9, 2026 from 6pm-8pm (free and open to the public). The closing celebration is Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 12-5pm. Work will be returned to artists the week of March 23, 2026. CVA provides insurance for artworks while on premises. If artwork is sold, artists receive 70% of sale proceeds; CVA retains 30%. Mo'Print will pay return shipping costs. Each selected artist must complete CVA's loan agreement form.
