50th Annual Juried University of Wyoming Student Exhibition

The University of Wyoming Art Museum presents the 50th Annual Juried University of Wyoming Student Exhibition, showcasing artwork from selected University of Wyoming students. Open to any undergraduate, graduate, or post-doctoral student currently enrolled at UW, including in-state students in the Distance Learning Program, the 2025 exhibition is juried by Jenene Nagy, artist and curator at TILT Export in Riverside, California. In conjunction with the Art Museum's larger exhibition "Sympoiesis: Co-Creating Sense of Place," this year's student juried exhibition is organized around work exploring "sense of place," broadly interpreted to encompass work investigating the relationship between people and place. The student exhibition provides a professional development opportunity for students to present their work in a museum setting.

Original artwork including paintings, drawings, prints, photography, sculpture, graphic design, ceramics, mixed media, or video may be submitted. Two-dimensional works must be ready to hang prior to submission (matted and framed under glass or Plexiglas where appropriate). All three-dimensional works must be stable, with pedestals provided by the UW Art Museum. A maximum of three works per student may be submitted. All works must specify a price or be listed as Not for Sale (NFS), and an additional insurance value must be provided. Works not selected for the museum exhibition will be presented in a Salon des Refusés organized by the Student Art League.

Scholarship and purchase awards will be announced during the opening reception on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 6pm. The exhibition will be on view at the University of Wyoming Art Museum from February 22 through May 17, 2025. Accepted artwork drop-off dates are February 3-4, 10am-4pm. Artwork pick-up dates are May 19-20, 10am-4pm. To be eligible for awards, you must be registered for classes during the spring 2025 semester.
