About This Call
This pop-up exhibition is part of the Alliance for the Arts' 50th Anniversary yearlong celebration. Pop-Up Museum50 will display 50 artworks of "museum quality" created by Southwest Florida artists working in a wide variety of media. The juried exhibition will be on display Saturday, March 1 through Sunday, March 2, 2025, and serves as a major fundraiser for the Alliance for the Arts.
Open to all artists residing in Southwest Florida (Tampa to Marco Island). Only original artwork is accepted; no giclee. Eligible categories include painting (oil, acrylic, collage, watercolor, mixed media), drawing, photography, sculpture, printmaking, and textiles. Artwork must have been completed in the last two years and not previously shown at the Alliance. Entry fee is $50.00. All submitted works selected for display must be offered for sale at a labeled price set by the artist; this is a no-commission show with all proceeds going to artists. Accepted artists are also requested to donate a small framed artwork (no larger than 9"x12") for an "Off the Walls" fundraiser.
All 2D artwork must be wired and ready to hang, not exceeding 40 inches on all sides. All 3D artwork must not exceed six feet in any direction or 150 lbs. Artists are responsible for delivery to and pickup from the Alliance. Digital images should be submitted in JPG or PNG format (1-5 images). Artworks will be juried by internationally celebrated artist Marcus Jansen. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent by Monday, February 17, 2025. Drop-off of accepted work is Wednesday, February 26 from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. An opening reception is scheduled for Saturday evening, March 1, 2025.
