4th Biennial Wings & Water

River Arts, Inc. invites artists from around the nation to participate in a juried exhibition depicting their definition of wings and/or water. Examples include works of birds, insects, fish, animals, rivers, or abstract interpretations of these subjects.

Submissions are limited to 6 works maximum. Works must be original and can be in any style, media, or technique. Both 2-D and 3-D pieces are accepted. Submissions must include title, media, size, and price. Two-dimensional work must be framed and wired for hanging (no sawtooths or clip hangers). Maximum size limit is 5 feet. All works must remain at the gallery for the duration of the exhibit. Entry fee is $30 for the first entry and $10 per additional work. Artists may submit one image per work; alternate views or detail images should be incorporated as a side-by-side comparison in one image file.

Awards include $500 Best of Show, $150 2nd Place, $75 Honorable Mention (2 awards), and $50 People's Choice. The juror is John Ribble. Acceptances and regrets will be sent by December 6, 2019 at 5:00pm central. The exhibition runs January 23-March 20, 2020, with an opening reception on January 30, 2020 from 5:30pm-7:30pm where awards will be announced. Though NFS (not for sale) works are accepted, works for sale are encouraged. Artists retain 65% of sales with 35% retained by River Arts Inc. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance costs to and from the venue; artwork will be insured by River Arts Inc. during the exhibit. Full packaging and shipping requirements will be sent to accepted artists.
