About This Call

Angad Arts Hotel invites submissions for artwork from the Greater Saint Louis region for display in 2021. The artwork selected will be prominently showcased in the public areas of Angad Arts Hotel, located at 3550 Samuel Shepard Dr, Saint Louis, MO 63103, in the Grand Center Arts District. Submissions may include drawing, painting, graphic design, photography, printmaking, glass, assemblage, collage, written word, fiber, or sculpture. Final pieces must be professionally framed and/or ready for display. Sculpture must be presentable on a wall protruding no more than 6 inches or from the ceiling on a case-by-case basis.

Eligibility is open to individuals living in the St. Louis, Missouri region and surrounding 200-mile radius. Chicago, IL and Kansas City, MO are not eligible. Entry fee is free for the first 200 submissions, then $25 per submission thereafter. Up to 3 entries are permitted per artist. The submission deadline is Sunday, April 25th, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. CST. Completed proposals must include full name and contact information, social media handles, artist statement, purchase valuation, high resolution JPEG of artwork, and artwork title, size, weight, and media description. Optional materials include curriculum vitae or resume and a written summary of relevant experience (500 words maximum). Selected artists will be notified by Friday, April 30th, 2021. Artwork must be delivered no later than Friday, May 7th, 2021. The exhibition will be on display from May 2021 through October 2021, with an opening reception on Wednesday, May 12th, 2021.

Selected artwork will be displayed in prominent public spaces throughout the hotel with daily foot traffic including national and international guests. Artwork will include name cards with descriptions and artist information. AAH provides professional photography and promotion through its website and social media. All artwork on display is available for purchase, with AAH requiring a 33% commission and the artist receiving 67% of the sale. Artwork sold must remain on display for the duration of the agreement.
