4th Asian Pacific American Festival of the Arts

OH Art Foundation presents the 4th Asian Pacific American Festival of the Arts, "Still After: Threads of Remembrance," a group exhibition curated by Yi Cao, Director of the Society of Contemporary Art at the Art Institute of Chicago. The exhibition runs May 15 – July 12, 2026, at the Zhou B Art Center, 1029 W. 35th St., Chicago, IL 60609, with an opening reception on Friday, May 15, 2026, 7pm-10pm.

"Still After: Threads of Remembrance" brings together contemporary AAPI artists who understand memory as an embodied, recursive, and unfinished process. The exhibition welcomes work that traces interwoven threads of personal and collective histories, intergenerational transmission, and memory in all its complexity. Submissions should illuminate how memory is lived, shared, and transformed, inviting practices that heal, imagine, and hold space for what endures and what flourishes.

The exhibition is open to artists 18 years or older who reside in the United States, with Midwest-based artists especially encouraged. All 2D visual media will be considered, including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and digital work. 3D and time-based media may be included as exceptions due to limited installation support and space capacity. Artists may submit up to 2 pieces for consideration. Artwork must be no larger than 12 ft width x 10 ft height including frame and ready for wall hanging. The application fee is $25.00 for up to 2 artwork applications. Applications are open February 3 – March 29, 2026. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from the gallery. The gallery retains a 40% commission on all sales.
