4th Annual POP - Paint Out Poulsbo

Paint Out Poulsbo (POP) Art and Music Festival is a one-day event held in downtown Poulsbo on June 1st. The theme this year is "Northwest Notes." The festival features a 2D art competition with artworks on display and for sale, along with artwork from the Poulsbo Artist League and Kitsap Photography Guild. Musical entertainment and Peninsula Music and Arts Society scholarship winners' performances are scheduled throughout the day.

Artist eligibility includes 2D artists age 18 and above (entry fee $40), non-fee student divisions ages 12-18 using coupon STU1218, and non-fee student divisions ages 5-11 using coupon STU511. The $40 entry fee covers submission of 1-3 digital images. Artists can submit up to 3 pieces per entry. Artwork will be juried by a panel of local and regional professional artists, with notifications of acceptance by May 25th. A separate Plein Air event will also take place on June 1st with in-person registration at Sons of Norway between 8:00-10:00 am.

Accepted work must be ready for display upon arrival at Sons of Norway (18891 Front St NE, Poulsbo). Finished artwork must not exceed 18"x24" and must be wired for hanging. All accepted and hung work must be for sale. Peninsula Music and Arts Society will handle sales and retain a 20% commission for future music and arts scholarships. Artists will receive payment within two weeks after the festival. Artwork not sold must be picked up by 7:30 pm on June 1st. Awards total up to $3,200, including $500 Best of Show, $650 Professional 1st & 2nd Place, $500 Amateur 1st & 2nd Place, $250 Student 12-18 yrs. 1st & 2nd Place, $150 Student 5-11 yrs. 1st & 2nd Place, and $650 Professional Plein Air and $500 Amateur Plein Air awards. Winners will be announced at the Artists' Reception held 6:15-7:00 pm.
