4th Annual Lazarus Excellence in Watercolor Award Exhibition

The 4th Annual Lazarus Excellence in Watercolor Award Exhibition invites watercolor artists to submit original works for exhibition at TAG Gallery in Los Angeles. The exhibition runs February 25 - March 20, 2026, with a gallery reception and awards ceremony on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 5-8 PM. Three cash awards will be presented: 1st Place $600, 2nd Place $400, 3rd Place $250, plus one Honorable Mention. The juror is Marisa Murrow, a contemporary painter whose work has been exhibited at institutions including the Laguna Art Museum, California Heritage Museum, and Huntington Beach Art Center.

Eligible artists must be 18 years or older and U.S. residents. Submissions must be original watercolor, gouache, or watercolor pencil paintings (acrylic and non-watercolor pigments are not accepted) of the artist's own execution, maximum 52 x 52 inches framed. Artists may submit up to 5 original watercolor artworks as high-resolution JPG images. Entry fee is $40 for the first entry, with additional entries at $5 each. All accepted artwork must be available for sale; TAG Gallery retains a 40% commission on sales, plus a possible 10% discount may be applied. The entry deadline is January 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Acceptance notifications will be sent February 8, 2026. In-person delivery is February 18-21, 2026 (1-7 PM), or artwork may be shipped to arrive by February 20, 2026. Artwork pickup is March 21, 2026 (1-7 PM), with shipped returns beginning March 28, 2026.
