4th Annual Jackson Hole Photography Competition

The Art Association of Jackson Hole hosts the 4th Annual Jackson Hole Photography Competition, opening April 17th through May 22nd, 2015 at the Art Association Gallery of the Center for the Arts in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The competition showcases photography in four categories: Wildlife/Animal, Outdoor Life/Sports, Portrait/Figure, and Experimental/Abstract. The jury is comprised of internationally renowned photographers Ramak Fazel, Karolina Karlic, and Tom Mangelsen.

Photographs must be in digital format (digital camera files, scans of negatives/transparencies/prints, or digitally created images are acceptable). Portfolio submissions are limited to 1920 pixels on the longest side and up to 5MB. Selected photographers will be notified by April 10th and must submit larger printable files by April 13th. Printable files must be 20MB or smaller, in JPEG or JPG format, and at least 3750 x 2500 pixels at 300 dpi. Photographs must have been taken within two years before the entry date and may not have been previously entered into this competition. Watermarks are not acceptable. Twenty photographs will be selected for each of the four categories, with 80 total photographs displayed. Selected photographers will be revealed at the opening reception.

The $35 entry fee qualifies artists for all four submission categories. The Art Association will print archival inkjet prints of selected images, matted and framed for exhibition. Three cash awards are given for the overall competition: 1st Place $600, 2nd Place $400, and 3rd Place $200. The entry fee also includes Art Association membership benefits and membership in the Teton Photography Group.
